The First Sketch

It was 3am and I woke clear a intent, one that I never

consciously thought about; and that was to draw

faces using a ruler...

Begun in 1993; I like to do things step by step and I only move forward when all seems right and resolved. This series/collection is a head on public display of my fears and humor, things I belive that both hinder and support a purposful life.

Bringing myself into my art so intimately seems the responsible thing to do from my perspective; for me there is no glory in being an artist without knowing I am present to share all of me in that I may inspire those lost in self doubt to grow and find their purpose. The ten years of passionatly creating this art was a wonderful preparation to leap to the other end of the specturm and share my ideals through  "A Loving Home Series"

Enjoy the fear:)
